Battle of Laurely Hill 2008 Reenactment

The 2008 Reenactment

We are grateful to Richard L. Crown, Sr. for generously providing photographs from the 2008 Reenactment. You can see these pictures HERE.

This year's reenactment was dedicated to:

Pvt. Nimrod Weese, and Cpl. William R. Moore,
both of the 10th West Virginia Infantry, Company H.

Moore and Weese were mustered into the Union troops at Beverly on Nov. 15, 1862. Weese was wounded Nov. 6, 1863, at Droop Mountain and mustered out Aug. 20, 1865. Moore was mustered out June 26, 1865.

Both men were from Belington.
